Founded by Jo Simhi and based in Sydney, Australia, Dwell By Jo has been specialising in residential interior design and decoration since 2007.

Dwell By Jo is a boutique practice, where each client is privy to the benefits of Jo taking the lead on all design projects the studio embarks on.

Specialising in the deeply personal and emotionally laced realm of residential interior design, Dwell By Jo delights in crafting the setting for their clients to live out their personal, familial and domestic aspirations.

Dwell By Jo practices a highly considered and intuitive methodology, approaching each project with the view to truly understand the client’s needs, wants and motivations – spoken and unspoken, inferred and often unrealised. ‘Our job is to interpret the brief, understand the client’s motivations and challenge the client to achieve results that surpass their expectations’.

Interiors by Dwell By Jo are celebrated for their timeless design, innate understanding of form and scale, and refined celebration of colour and materiality. Richly layered, thoughtful, elegantly nuanced, contextually astute, endlessly liveable homes are signatures of Dwell By Jo.

Dwell By Jo believes the success of a project to be multi fold – to deliver the key functional aspects of the brief, to evoke an emotional response in the client and to improve the client’s quality of life in ways they didn’t themselves realise. ‘The success of a project does not end with the handover of the home or the final piece styled, it is measured in the continued moments of delight throughout the client’s years in the home’.
